About me
Matthias Sky Lehmann is an electronic music producer and composer based in the wonderful landscape of Sprockhövel, Germany. Operating from his studio nestled in the scenic hills of the densely wooded southern Ruhr region, his music seamlessly blends rich melodic electronics and driving rhythms with vast, atmospheric textures and deep ambient soundscapes.
His artistic vision is deeply intertwined with a life of devoted physical endurance on the trails and a nature-spiritual approach to existence.
A passionate long-distance runner since 1998, Matthias can be found almost daily on the picturesque forest paths of his homeland. He translates the flowing rhythm, unbroken focus, and meditative mental expansion of these journeys directly into his music using Ableton Live. For him, running through the mist and ancient woods is not just movement—it is a spiritual connection to the earth, a silent dialogue with the seasons that breathes life into every synthesizer chord.
The result is a finely structured, often rhythmically grounded, yet profoundly emotional sonic experience—an exploration of earthly seasons and cosmic horizons. Following a creative hiatus, Matthias spent recent weeks in intensive 12-hour studio sessions, completely remastering his entire catalog to pristine 2026 audio quality.
His unique musical journey has already garnered massive international acclaim. His compositions are featured across global airplay, including repeated broadcasts on John Diliberto’s renowned ECHOES Radio (USA), Mike Hunter's The Nightcrawlers / WXPN, Detlef Keller's Ad Libitum, Chris Maico Schmidt's Evosonic Nachtschiene, Harald Gramberg's EM-Podium, Stefan Schulz's Syndae Podcast, Mick Garlick's Sequences, and the official playlist of One World Music Radio.

“Music is the breath between two notes”
Matthias´ music lives between notes — the silent frame that gives melody meaning. In pauses, rhythm and counterpoint meet, harmonies reveal hidden tones, and the unsaid lets memory and expectation speak. These gaps invite close attention, where a motif unfolds into vast inner landscapes. Silence, not empty, shapes feeling and turns sound into a living journey.
